Dear FOIA Officer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 552).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pursuant to the provisions of the FOIA, I hereby request access to and copies of records detailing the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. A list of the 25 highest-paid employees currently working at the Central Intelligence Agency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The annual salary for each of these 25 employees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The job title and a brief description of the responsibilities for each of these positions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I believe that the requested records will be limited in scope and that the search and duplication costs will be minimal. However, if you estimate that the fees will exceed [$ amount], please contact me for authorization before proceeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I am seeking this information for [state your purpose, e.g., research, journalistic purposes, personal interest, etc.], and I believe it will contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations and activities of the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I understand that some information I am requesting may be protected under the FOIA. If you determine that certain records are exempt from release, I request that you provide me with an index and explanation of those documents, as required under Vaughn v. Rosen, 484 F.2d 820 (D.C. Cir. 1973).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For records that may be covered by privacy interests, I ask that they be reviewed to determine if any portion of the document can be released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If my request is denied in whole or part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the Act. I will also expect you to release all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material. I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to deny a waiver of fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As I am making this request in the public interest, for non-commercial use, I request that all fees be waived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I look forward to your prompt response within 20 business days, as the statute requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
