U.S. Space Command – Space Policy

Dear FOIA Officer,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 552). I seek access to and copies of documents relating to space policy developed or adopted by the U.S. Space Command. My interest specifically lies in policies related to:

  1. Space defense strategies.
  2. Space debris mitigation efforts.
  3. Satellite defense and protection measures.

I believe these documents will provide valuable insight into the strategic planning and operational priorities of the U.S. Space Command in maintaining space security and sustainability.

If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $5. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in connection with this request. Disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest because it contributes significantly to public understanding of the operations and activities of the U.S. government and is not primarily in my commercial interest.

Please search for responsive records regardless of format. I prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not. If my request is denied in whole or part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the Act.

Thank you for your consideration of this request. I look forward to your prompt response within the 20 business day period prescribed by the law.
